The only skin tag removal product that protects your skin with TagTarget skin shields

Nearly half the adult population will have a skin tag sometime in their lifetime. The good news is you can remove skin tags at home. But you’ll want to choose a product that makes it easy to do it right. Compound W® Skin Tag Remover is the only do-it-yourself skin tag remover designed to treat skin tags while protecting the surrounding skin. Special TagTarget skin shields isolate the skin tag through a hole in the TagTarget center. The TagTarget adheres lightly to the surrounding healthy skin, protecting it and making it simple to target just the skin tag with the foam-tip applicator.

Compound W® Skin Tag Remover uses the same freezing technology that a dermatologist would use, but because it’s specially designed to be easy to use, you can remove skin tags in the privacy of your own home—often in as little as one application. No expensive dermatologist appointment necessary!

Here's what's in your Compound W Skin Tag Removal kit

  • 1 Information Booklet
  • 1 can of freezing spray liquid (8 applications)
  • 1 re-usable applicator holder
  • 1 package containing 8 foam-tip applicators. These applicators are used for targeted application of the freezing spray liquid
  • 24 TagTarget® skin shields to protect skin surrounding the skin tag:
  • 8 Small TagTarget® skin shields, for approximately 1 mm (1/32 inch) diameter skin tags
  • 8 Medium TagTarget® skin shields, for approximately 2 mm (1/16 inch) diameter skin tags
  • 8 Large TagTarget® skin shields, for approximately 3 mm (1/8 inch) diameter skin tags

What size skin tags can this remover treat?

You can use Compound W Skin Tag Remover to remove only skin tags that are up to 3 mm (1/8 inch) across (diameter).

Instructions for Use (included in kit)

Step 1: Applying the TagTarget skin shield

The TagTarget skin shield is a self-sticking round pad with a hole in the center like a "bull's eye". It fits over the skin tag and protects the healthy skin around the skin tag. It helps you target the skin tag you want to treat. ALWAYS apply the right size TagTarget® skin shield before treating with Compound W Skin Tag Remover. If it helps you to see the skin tag, such as one located on your neck, use a mirror to help you to place the TagTarget skin shield (Figure 1). Choose a TagTarget skin shield with a hole that just fits over the skin tag. The package has skin shields with 3 different size holes.

Step 2: Preparing the Foam-tip Applicator and Holder

Use Compound W Skin Tag Remover only with the foam-tip applicators in the package. Compound W® Skin Tag Remover may not work if you use other applicators. Insert the stick end of the applicator firmly into the holder (Figure 2).

Step 3: Freezing the Applicator

  1. Place the can firmly on a table or other level surface. Insert the holder and applicator into the top of the can. Line up notches in holder with the openings on top of the can (Figure 3).
  2. Hold the can firmly upright with one hand. With the other hand, press the holder down until you hear a hissing sound. Continue to press the holder down so that you hear the hissing sound for 2-3 seconds. This indicates the applicator has been exposed to enough freezing liquid.
  3. Remove the holder and applicator from the can. Wait 10 – 20 seconds. The applicator may appear frosty and you may also smell some ether.

Note: If you do not hear the hissing sound, it indicates the can is not working properly, do not use the product. Call us toll-free at 1-800-443-4908 to get a replacement product.

Warning: Do not touch the applicator to your fingers or touch other areas of your skin as this may cause skin damage including burning or scarring.

Step 4: Freezing the Skin Tag

  1. Lightly press the applicator tip on only one side of the stalk where it attaches to the skin (Figure 4). Use a mirror if necessary to help see the skin tag.
  2. Hold for 40 seconds in one place. Caution: Do not move the tip around as the applicator needs to remain in one place to be effective.
  3. You will likely feel a mild aching or stinging sensation.

After use and follow-up care

  • Save the re-usable applicator holder for future use.
  • Throw the foam-tip applicator away. Caution: Do not reuse. Applicators are not intended for multiple use.
Warning: Do not touch the applicator to your fingers or touch other areas of your skin as this may cause skin damage including burning or scarring.
  • Gently remove the TagTarget® skin shield after use and throw it away.
  • Wash hands immediately after using. You can wash any treated areas after any mild sensations such as aching or stinging go away.

To help avoid infection:

  • Keep the treated area clean.
  • Do not pick or scratch the treated area.
  • Do not pull the skin tag off with your fingers.
  • Do not cut the skin tag off.
  • Cover the treated site with a bandage to protect the skin while it heals.

Skin tags usually fall off within 2 weeks after the first treatment. After 2 weeks, if the skin tag is not gone, apply again. After 2 more weeks, if the skin tag is still not gone, apply again. After 2 more weeks (six weeks total), if the skin tag is still not gone, stop using this product on that skin tag. Instead, talk to your doctor because the growth may not be a skin tag and may be a more serious condition. You may track the treatment of your skin tag(s) on the treatment chart provided on the last page of the Information Booklet included in the kit.

What is a Skin Tag?

Skin tags are non-cancerous skin growths. Skin tags are soft and fleshy bumps of tissue connected to the skin’s surface. You can recognize a skin tag if it contains ALL of the following physical features:

  • Flesh coloured
  • Soft and easy to move
  • Painless
  • Sticks out from surrounding skin on a small, narrow stalk

If your skin growth does not have all of these features, you must not treat it. If you treat it and it is NOT a skin tag, you may hurt yourself seriously.

Size of skin tags shown above are enlarged for easy viewing. You may need to use a magnifying lens or mirror to see the details of your skin growth to compare it to the photo and illustration above.

What is not a skin tag?

A skin growth with ANY of the physical features listed below is NOT a skin tag and should NOT be treated with this device:

  • A colour significantly different than your normal skin colour
  • Hairy
  • Bleeding
  • Hard to the touch

If you are unsure if a particular growth is a skin tag, do not treat it unless a medical professional confirms that it is a skin tag.
